During our third-year commercial assignment we had the privilege to have the National Museum of Antiquities (Rijksmuseum van Oudheden) as our client. In small crews we created several commercials. The rules: one shooting day, a minimum budget and a duration of approximately 45 seconds.
My job was creating a matte-painting resembling a landscape of Ancient Egypt. Although it got blurred out in the final shot, I still wanted to make something with a little more detail for myself.
The pyramids and river are painted by hand, the rest is all stock footage.
